Service Description
This fun and engaging acting class will help young performers shine on stage! Through games and creative exercises, we'll explore the basics of acting, including how to stay grounded, engage in a scene, create believable characters, and learn some simple stage blocking. New this session, our teaching artists will help students learn to follow sheet music. Get ready for fun, learning, and a boost of confidence! This class: - Is open to students ages 6-9 - Is held on Sunday afternoons for four weeks, October 5-26 - Meets from 10-11 am - Is instructed by: Karter Mueller and Ash Stokes Parents who are willing to supervise the lobby during this class may be eligible for a discount on enrollment -- if you are interested, please email education@treehousetheater.com before enrolling. *Scholarships are available! Please email education@treehousetheater.com before registering.* Karter Mueller is a seasoned theater professional with over 20 shows under his belt. His experience spans various aspects of production, from onstage performances in community theater to behind-the-scenes work. Karter's musical background includes playing in pit orchestras since middle school, and he has collaborated with music directors and pit directors on numerous productions. Additionally, Karter works in the public school system, where he has experience with children aged 5-16. Asher Stokes, a Treehouse Theater alum, brings extensive experience from over 40 productions, spanning his childhood and adult years. He has served in various leadership roles, including assistant directing, directing, and assistant choral directing for numerous children's and young adult musicals. Asher also works in public elementary schools, giving him significant experience with children aged 5-15.
