Level up your stage management skills! Treehouse Theater is hosting a professional development workshop focused on Modern Stage Management Practices. This workshop will provide practical tools and techniques to enhance your productions and strengthen stage management across our local theater community. This workshop is led by Beck Menk, a Milwaukee-based theatre artist and educator. Originally from Manitowoc and one of Treehouse Theater's first students, Beck has since graduated from Marquette University with a BA in Education Studies and Theatre Arts and has had the privilege of working as a playwright, director, stage manager, costume designer, stagehand, and educator with several companies including Pink Umbrella Theatre Co., Milwaukee Youth Theatre, Kith&Kin Theatre Collective, and Florentine Opera Co. This 2 hour and 30 minute workshop will teach the basics of stage management and industry standards for the position including typical duties, script notation, rehearsal reports, and calling a show. Newcomers, veterans, and curious minds ages 15 and up are welcome!
