The heartwarming story about a girl with an extraordinary imagination, Matilda JR  is filled with frantically fun music that is both engaging and powerful. Using her wit, intelligence and a little bit of magic, Matilda inspires others and discovers that she can bravely stand up for what is right.  The story exposes the true meaning of family, the love and joy of learning, and the transformative power of storytelling.

AUDITIONS

for every role are open to all interested youth, ages 8-18.  Up to 40 students will be cast, with a maximum of five between ages 8-10. 

 

Auditioning students of all ages should prepare and memorize a one-minute song (from a music theater production) that highlights their vocal range.  Students 11-18 should ALSO prepare and memorize a one-minute monologue that highlights their diction and emotion.

Actor conflicts, both weekly and one-time, within these timeframes must be reported during registration or at Auditions.  The Production Team will develop the detailed Rehearsal Schedule developed AFTER Casting is complete, working around reported Actor Conflicts.  Excessive conflicts and/or absences will not be tolerated.
