Actor conflicts, both weekly and one-time, within these timeframes must be reported during registration or at Auditions.  The Production Team will develop the detailed Rehearsal Schedule developed AFTER Casting is complete, working around reported Actor Conflicts.  Excessive conflicts and/or absences will not be tolerated.

ROLES 

Rafiki - wise mandrill who acts as healer of the Pridelands and guides Simba on his journey home

Inhabitants of the Pridelands ~ giraffes, elephants, antelopes, wildebeest, and other creatures

Mufasa - strong, honorable, and wise lion who leads the Pridelands

Sarabi - featured lioness, Mufasa's mate, and Simba's mother

Zazu - anxious yet loyal assistant to Mufasa

Scar - overcome with jealousy of his brother, Mufasa, and nephew, Simba. Coldhearted and wickedly intelligent

Young Simba - adventurous and endearing cub who can't wait to be king

Simba - grows from a cub to a lion; matures into the next leader of the Pridelands

Lionesses - fierce hunters of the Pridelands and featured dancers

Young Nala - courageous female cub and Young Simba's best friend

Nala - grows from a cub to a lioness

Sarafina - featured Lioness and Nala's mother

Shenzi - Scar's trio of lackeys; sassy and selfish hyena

Banzai - Scar's trio of lackeys; slick yet childish hyena

Ed - Scar's trio of lackeys; loud, laughing hyena

Hyenas - Scar's mangy, mindless Army of hyenas

Timon - outcast meerkat who is afraid of his own shadow, but pretends to be confident and relaxed

Pumbaa - kindhearted, sensitive warthog who enjoys his simple life of grubs and relaxation
